Meet the Founders

The students who already made it.

SummitSTEM was built by students, for students. Aaron and Kahil founded the company on a simple belief: every Grade 7 to 12 learner deserves a mentor who has recently walked the same path and can show them the way through. Alongside a vetted network of 40+ top Canadian STEM tutors, our mission is to turn confusion into confidence, and good grades into great futures.

Top of his cohort in engineering chemistry. Believes the right intuition turns a hard problem into an obvious one.

"I started tutoring because I remember exactly what it felt like to stare at a problem and feel completely stuck, convinced everyone else understood something I was missing. What changed things for me wasn't more practice problems or louder explanations, it was someone willing to slow down and rebuild the idea from the ground up. The students I work with don't need more pressure or another lecture; they need someone who can break a hard concept down until it actually clicks and then show them how to do it on their own. That's what I try to do every session, and it's the standard I hold every SummitSTEM mentor to."

Four-time Honour Roll. Teaches the way he wishes he'd been taught.

"I wasn't always a strong student back in high school, but I ended up becoming valedictorian. No tutors, no test prep programs, just figuring out how to actually learn, and that gap between struggling and thriving is exactly what SummitSTEM is built to close. Our university mentors didn't just study this material, they survived it recently enough to remember where it actually gets hard, the shortcuts the textbook skips, and the mistakes every student makes on the test. That's the difference between someone who knows the subject and someone who can teach you how to think through it."
